Saskia and Oscar’s wedding at home in East Horsley was one of those days that just felt completely them — relaxed, full of laughter, and bursting with personality. It was a celebration that perfectly captured that sweet spot between timeless and fun; the kind of day where the atmosphere felt laid-back, but every detail had been thought through beautifully.
A Celebration of Casual Timelessness
Set in the gardens of their family home, the clear-frame marquee was the perfect setting for their day. It had this wonderful open feel, blending the outdoors in and allowing guests to soak up the sunshine and views of the English garden beyond. A canopy of fresh foliage was strung across the ceiling — lush, green, and a little wild — adding that feeling of being surrounded by nature.
Touches of soft blue and peach ran through the styling, creating a light and happy colour story. The English-style toile de Jouy pattern appeared on the table runners, giving just the right hint of classic charm without feeling too formal. Simple glassware and modern cutlery kept everything fresh and unfussy, while the tables themselves were welcoming and full of life.
The stationery suite, designed in-house by Emma Reeve, tied everything together beautifully. Featuring the same blue and peach palette and a hand-drawn illustration of the couple’s beloved dog, Guvnor, it added that personal touch that ran right through the day.
A Laid Back, Joyful Atmosphere
From the moment guests arrived, the mood was bright and relaxed. The gardens buzzed with conversation and laughter as friends and family gathered under the marquee for a long, sunny wedding breakfast. It was the kind of atmosphere where everyone felt at ease — glasses clinking, stories being shared, and the occasional burst of laughter echoing across the lawn.
As the day turned to evening, the marquee truly came to life. The foliage garlands overhead were dotted with fairy lights that twinkled against the clear ceiling, creating the most magical backdrop once the party began. When the band started up, the dance floor filled instantly — a big, joyful party under the lights.
And of course, Saskia and Oscar had one last surprise up their sleeve: a personalised chicken nugget shop stand for late-night snacks. Complete with bespoke cartons featuring cartoon drawings of Guvnor and fun stickers, it was a playful nod to their sense of humour and love of the little things.
Effortlessly Cool, Unforgettably Fun
This was a day that didn’t try too hard — it didn’t need to. Saskia and Oscar’s wedding was effortlessly cool, full of fun and completely personal to them. From the thoughtful design details to the wild dancing and laughter that lasted well into the night, it was the perfect reflection of who they are: relaxed, joyful, and ready to throw one incredible party.
