Verity & George’s Pastel-Perfect Luxury Marquee Wedding at Findon Place
Verity and George’s luxury marquee wedding at Findon Place was a pastel-perfect celebration of love, laughter, and effortless elegance from start to finish
There’s something irresistibly joyful about watching two wonderful people say “I do” — especially when their day unfolds with heartfelt warmth, refined design, and that effortless sense of fun. Verity & George’s wedding at Findon Place was all that and more: a luxury marquee wedding full of character, colour, and charm.
As a marquee wedding planner, it’s days like these that remind me why I adore what I do — weaving together story, style and sentiment into something that feels utterly personal.
A Meaningful Surrey Ceremony
The day began in Surrey, at Verity’s family church — the very same place near her old school, steeped in memories. It was a ceremony filled with love and nostalgia, where every hymn and smile felt like a gentle nod to her past. George looked completely smitten as she walked down the aisle, light filtering through stained glass in the softest shades — the first glimpse of the pastel palette that would carry through the day.
From Church to Celebration at Findon Place
After the ceremony, guests made their way to Findon Place, an elegant country estate that set the tone for a relaxed yet sophisticated celebration. With 70 guests gathered under a beautifully dressed marquee, the atmosphere was intimate — the perfect balance of grandeur and warmth.
As a UK wedding planner, I always say that a marquee offers the best of both worlds: the beauty of the outdoors with the comfort of a bespoke interior. Verity and George’s marquee was a pastel dream come true.
A Pastel Tablescape Full of Joy
We wanted the design to feel quintessentially English, but with a playful, contemporary twist. Mint-green tablecloths brought a soft freshness to the space, while pink accents — from napkins to delicate glassware details — added that sweet pop of romance. The tablescape was everything you’d want from a luxury marquee wedding: stylish, welcoming, and joyfully pretty.
Each place setting was designed to encourage conversation and connection — elegant enough to feel special, yet relaxed enough for guests to truly settle in and enjoy.
Magic Flowers and the Marquee Transformation
The florals by the brilliant team at Magic Flowers were nothing short of spectacular. They created bountiful displays that wrapped gracefully around the marquee’s king poles, turning the structure into something living and breathing. Wherever you looked, petals seemed to dance in soft tones of pink, blush, and cream — that delicate balance of abundance and restraint.
As a marquee wedding planner, I always look for design details that make guests pause and smile — and these florals did exactly that.
A Cake with Vintage Soul
One of my favourite details was the cake: a delicate, vintage-inspired creation with intricate piping work, soft tones, and — my absolute highlight — cherries on top. It was a nod to old-school charm, perfectly in keeping with the pastel styling, and proof that “pretty” never goes out of fashion.
Into the Ballroom for Dancing
As twilight fell, the party flowed seamlessly into Findon Place’s ballroom, where the evening came alive. Music, laughter, and the shimmer of champagne glasses filled the air. The joy was contagious — shoes came off, skirts twirled, and the dance floor was never empty. The transition from marquee dinner to ballroom celebration couldn’t have been more perfect.
A Day That Felt Entirely Theirs
What made Verity & George’s wedding so special was how effortlessly it reflected them — warm, stylish, and full of fun. Every element, from the church service to the luxury marquee dinner and the dancing that followed, told their story beautifully.
It was elegant but never stuffy, refined yet relaxed — a day that reminded everyone that true luxury lies in comfort, laughter, and love shared freely.
